Tab Tidy — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 August 2026

Tab Tidy does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any data. The extension contains no networking code of any kind.

What the extension accesses

To do its job, Tab Tidy reads the titles and URLs of your open tabs through Chrome's tabs API. It uses them for exactly two purposes:

What happens to that information

Nothing leaves your computer. Titles and URLs are read into memory while the popup is open, used to compute the grouping and duplicate list, and discarded when the popup closes. Nothing is written to disk, no history is kept, no analytics or telemetry are gathered, and no server is ever contacted — there is no server.

Third parties

None. No analytics providers, no advertising networks, no external scripts, no remote code. Your data is never shared, sold, or transferred, because it is never collected in the first place.
